IOLTA Basics (Webinar)

Published on: April 7, 2023

A review by The Legal Intelligencer of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Disciplinary Board records from 2006-2016 revealed that 13% of attorney discipline was for mishandling client money, including mismanaging IOLTA accounts. Pennsylvania’s Rule of Professional Conduct 1.15, which outlines in detail the requirements for handling a trust account, runs to more than 5,000 words. A violation of R.P.C. 1.15, no matter how minor or technical, can lead to attorney discipline.

Make sure you understand your obligations to your clients. Come to this practical, nuts-and-bolts webinar to learn the basics of IOLTA, including practical steps for handling the account.
